The honest number
Category B. Up to 35%, not 45%.
The Government Resolution of 8 September 2026 classifies 130 talukas as Category A and 138 as Category B. Bhavnagar taluka, where the park sits, is Category B. Ghogha, Vallabhipur, Umrala, Talaja, Palitana, Gariadhar and Jesar in the same district are Category A. Some sellers will quote you the Category A headline; we would rather you knew the difference before the visit.
What Category B does not change: the 7% interest rate itself, the 100% EPF reimbursement, the electricity-duty exemption, the thrust-sector list, and the five-year policy window. What it does change is the capital rate, the overall ceiling, the power rate per unit, and the caps on interest and power support. What it does change is the capital-subsidy rate and the power support per unit, and the calculator above already accounts for both.

Sixteen thrust sectors, five selected
Build inside a category the policy is written to favour.
For a large unit in Bhavnagar, thrust-sector status is the difference between a 25% ceiling and a 15% one. Five of the sectors carry a higher special provision again, marked with a star.
